The Cabot Moonlighters Disc Golf League began with a few friends, a handful of discs, and a shared desire to bring people together through Christ and community. What started as small evening rounds in Cabot, Arkansas, grew into a thriving ministry that now connects players from across Central Arkansas.
Every game, event, and outreach is guided by the same mission: to build fellowship through faith and use the game of disc golf as a way to serve others.
Branden Mueller first discovered disc golf at Burns Park in North Little Rock in 2000. After years of playing recreationally and connecting with other players in Memphis and Arkansas, Branden felt led to create something that combined his passion for the sport with his calling to serve others.
His journey with faith and ministry began in 2014 when he turned his life over to Jesus. From that moment, he devoted his time to caring for the unsheltered, disenfranchised, and veterans of Central Arkansas. His work in that ministry inspired him to start the Cabot Moonlighters as both a league and an outreach.
Our mission is to shine the light of Christ through the sport of disc golf. We believe community and compassion belong together, and through our league, we create spaces for connection, encouragement, and service.
By hosting tournaments, volunteering, and building relationships, we are able to support local outreach programs like Providence Park Forever Home, an initiative helping to end chronic homelessness in Central Arkansas.
We believe every person has a purpose and that faith and fellowship can change lives. Through disc golf, we have seen God use simple moments on the course to open doors for discipleship and community impact.
Our league operates with integrity, inclusivity, and joy. Whether you have played for years or it is your first time picking up a disc, you are welcome here. Faith, fun, and friendship are for everyone.
The Cabot Moonlighters are guided by a dedicated team of volunteers who share a heart for ministry and community. Board elections are currently underway, and updates will be shared as new leaders are appointed.
